ABOUT Atlanta Legends Cup

Nestled in Alpharetta, just north of Atlanta, The Golf Club
of Georgia is a private, member owned gem recognized as one of the premier golf destinations in the state. Established in 1991, it features two exceptional 18-hole championship courses Lakeside and Creekside both originally designed by Arthur Hills. The Lakeside course earned immediate prestige as Golf Digest’s “Best New Private Course in America” upon its debut in ’91, while Creekside opened in 1993 and soon became similarly celebrated. Both courses have consistently secured spots among the “Top 20 Best Courses in Georgia” lists.

Beyond its top-tier layouts, the club has long been a key venue for competitive and collegiate golf. GCG hosted the Senior PGA Tour’s Nationwide Championship, where Hall of Famer Hale Irwin triumphed. Since 1998, the club has annually held the Georgia Cup the prestigious amateur match pitting U.S. and British Amateur champions and from 2006, it has staged the nation-renowned Collegiate Invitational drawing top college programs every fall.

Eligibility: Buckets Club Members Only

Entry Fee: $550/pp

Deadline to Register: Wednesday, October 15th at 5PM MST

Pairings Deadline: Submit to nick@malbon.com by Friday, October 17th

Format and Rules

Game Format: Two-Person Best Ball (Net and Gross Scoring)

Players: 72

Handicap Requirements: Players must submit their current USGA handicap during registration.

Live Scoring Details: Participants will use the Golf Genius app for live scoring. One member of each foursome must download the app and use the GGID provided at check-in.

Pairings and Preferences

Players may request a preferred partner during registration or opt to be paired randomly. Once registered, please email nick@malbon.com with pairing details.

Breakfast: Breakfast burritos – build your own (choice of sausage, bacon, ham, chicken, egg, cheese)
Lunch: Deluxe boxed lunch on carts or at the turn – choice of 3 sandwiches, chips, salad, brownie
Dinner: Southern Comfort Buffet – fried chicken, pulled pork, sides, peach cobbler, pecan pie
**Some alcohol provided by brand partners while additional options for purchase at The Club House.

Buckets Club Tournament Registration Policy
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. By registering for a Buckets Club tournament, you acknowledge and agree that all purchases are non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to, player entries, team registrations, and any associated tournament purchases.

Refunds will only be issued if Buckets Club cancels the event due to extenuating circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, course closure). In such cases, registered participants will be notified promptly and provided with refund or credit options. Buckets Club tournaments will proceed rain or shine. We strongly encourage participants to double-check availability and scheduling before completing registration.
